City Neighborhood Councils
The new city Neighborhood Councils have created an opportunity for you to provide direct input to LA City government!
Neighborhood Councils are mandated by the new City Charter and provide advisory input to city officials on neighborhood and citywide issues.
Goals of the Neighborhood Councils include:
  • Promote public participation in decision-making
  • Increase City government responsiveness
  • Facilitate the delivery of City services to neighborhoods
  • Ensure equal opportunity for all stakeholders in the community
In accordance with the new City Charter, the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE) is supporting community efforts to form neighborhood councils.
Atwater Village Neighborhood Council
